To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. In other words, he’s perfect boyfriend material. Unfortunately, apart from being gay, single, and really really in need of a date for a big event, Luc and Oliver have nothing in common. So they strike a deal to be publicity-friendly (fake) boyfriends until the dust settles. Then they can go their separate ways and pretend it never happened.
But the thing about fake-dating is that it can feel a lot like real-dating. And that's when you get used to someone...start falling for them...don't ever want to let them go.
My review:
I didn't had high exceptations from this audiobook...but holyhell! I never ever could have dreamed up this kind of perfection. I have really bad experience with british narrators, and especially if the narrator is someone I didn't heard of earlier. But one thing is for sure, after this, I need more from the narrator!
I have just one question. How!? How could someone do something amazing like this. I mean those voices phew, hot as hell! Perfect fit for Oliver&Luc, just the way I imagined them, if not better!
The story in itself is amazing, I can write about it's awesomness for weeks without getting tired of it. (But I won't, so you're safe ;) ) Lucien and Oliver in audiobook is just something else. When you imagine the perfect cake, you see it and it's just as you thought it would be (the ebook/paperback version), then you got a spoon and got to taste the cake... and bammm foodgasm, the flavours explodes on your tongue and you're having an out of body experience (audiobook with eargasm!!!).
Yeah, that was the feeling I had while listening to this book. Eargasm all the way. I laughed, smiled and laughed some more, because let's be clear, those scenes with Alex and the jokes... hilarious.
This book, this audio is the most perfect thing ever. If you're into audiobooks, you NEED this. If you're not, then give it a try, please, because eargasm! But/and if you loved the ebook/paperback, then you definitely NEED the audio in your life. Believe me.
I'll re-listen to it many, many times. Oliver saying Lucien is just...*sigh*. Perfect.
