Blurb:
Kyle Becker, an infamous brat of his high school, is a real troublemaker and therefore a regular visitor at the principal’s office. He never listens to any word of advice given to him or improves his behavior patterns.
Tired of fruitless penalties, the principal subscribes Kyle to charitable work in a nursing home, where Kyle founds himself surrounded by difficult elders and naggy staff.
Only one person is standing out in the whole institution, Mason, a handsome male nurse.
Will the charitable work finally cause Kyle to have a change of heart and be held responsible for his own actions? Can Mason tame this irresponsible, immature brat?
Young adult M/m romance between a teen delinquent and a male nurse!
My review:
It was an easy and enjoyable read. Great start from a new author.
Kyle, the brat, was a good character, and I liked how he changed. I liked the young adult setting, somehow it's always hotter when a younger character fells in love with a bit older one. I think it can be a trigger for some readers (17-28), but the consent scene were really, really well written, and Mason wasn't that kind of a character who will do something wrong. Mason was caring and he thought about everything.
I loved the student/nurse setting, Kyle was really good at doing his job at the detention. The sexual awakening was good too. Kyle and Mason were cute together, but I think their sexual relationship was a bit too much. Mason was too headstrong, and after he got the green light from Kyle, he was like GO-GO-GO and do everything right now. I feared them, they weren't cautious enough and I was waiting for them to be caught... but they got lucky.
Liked reading this book, but the sex scenes were not perfect for me.
ps. the sketch on the first page is reaaaaally cute
