Then he followed the man home, hoping for a taste of the adventure of which he’d been so desperately searching. He got more than he bargained for, starting with a shared bottle of wine in a rented flat and ending with heartbreak in Bordeaux hotel.
Leonidas Filo had been content to travel and wander, never wanting to settle—whether it was down or for less. The handsome American he spied on the street was only meant to be a moment of fun, but he couldn’t deny how right it felt to keep pushing his limits with Andy Motel.
After months of separation, the two men who are still barely more than strangers find themselves together again, but this time in Cherry Creek. Leonidas is ready to offer everything he can, but Andy needs to find a way to turn a collection of moments into a lifetime of love.
My review:
This book was sweet with lovely characters and adorable romantic scenes. The erotica was really good too, but come on, we're talking about Kate Hawthorne, the queen of erotic scenes.
I loved Andy and Leonidas, their personality was really great and their relationship was super unique and awesome. Loved the whole traveling thing and that the story took place in France (at the beginning) - but I'm sad Andy didn't liked Paris, I looooove Paris! Loved the way they met and began slowly fall for each other.
"You should ask.""I like to touch you," Leonidas said, turning away from Andy and leaning over to flick the power switch on the pottery wheel. " I don't like to ask for the things I like."
The pottery scenes was good, but I thought it would be a bit longer and hotter. But anyway, they were sweet in every scene. But my favorite: paint sex! It's always so good.
"He didn't want this man for now, he wanted him forever, but that was absurd. They were strangers."
They were really hot for each other and I loved their self discovery that how strong they both feel, and how easily they can fall in love. Those scenes were really good, where you can see that they want forever but know that their time has an ending somwhere on the road.
"I don't just want now," he said."Then pretend forever."
And this quote right here is what my favorite was in the book. Andy had asked Leonidas this question two times, but for the second time it had deeper meaning. This little quote tells everything about this book - why are Andy/Leonidas on places they shouldn't be? Because the other one is there, and that is exactly where they want to be.
"Why are you here?" Andy snapped. He held his hands up and took a step backward toward the wall."Because you're here."
This book is the last in the series, but it was my first read - but after I met the other characters, I'm really curious about their stories too! Theo was a cutie!
The ending was really, really sweet. I was afraid of their HEA, I couldn't picture how they could work, because both wanted to travel and didn't wanted to stay in one place forever. But holymoly, Kate wrote an amazing ending for them and how well they worked! Phew! Some hot scene at the end!
I loved reading this book. It was a totally perfect summer read, where you can forget all your probleme and be with characters in different countries and see how they fall in love.
I recommend this book. If you read and love this series, the probably you hardly can't wait to put your hands on Andy and Leonidas, but if you're new to the series or to the author, this is a perfect book for you if you're looking for a good romance.
