Blurb:

Emile hasn’t ever had to deal with an attraction to a student in his eight years as a university professor. But now here’s Jay, a freshman on a soccer scholarship. The same handsome young man Emile almost hooked up with at a bar over the summer, where they barely exchanged names, let alone occupations.

Emile’s definitely not going to screw up his comfortable life and his chance at tenure by giving into temptation with a student, even one who radiates the special brand of gentle aggression Emile craves. Except his resolve falters every time he sees Jay—which is to say regularly, at a desk in his classroom...

Jay feels things around Emile he’s never felt. Is he really going to let a little thing like propriety stand in the way of figuring out why he feels more like himself with Emile than he does anywhere else?

Jaywalking is a MM romance featuring age difference, a younger top, and a professor/student relationship. JAYWALKING IS A STANDALONE story with a happy ending. But it is a NOVELLA, not a full-length novel, at approximately 30,000 words.

My review:

I'm a bit disappointed. I started reading this book because I was told professor/student with d/s romance story. Hmm... I mean the book was that but on the super light end of it. I like my prof/student books with more background into their day-to-day lives. And if it's a d/s, I don't want it to only be a told once-twice on the page but nothing proof.

It wasn't a bad story, but as I said it was super super light. Only two or three kissing scene, and the ending was so fast and boring.

I couldn't see the romance and the connection, let alone the chemistry between Emile and Jay. And the cover...?! There was only one dog walking scene. One! I don't know if it's a debut book or not, but it really feels like one (and not from the amazing ones).

It was a fast enjoyable read but nothing more.
