When Felix met handsome journalist Max Travers, it was lust at first sight. It was just his luck that he then had to develop a terrible case of feelings and got his heart broken. However, two years later, he’s over all of that. His job is going well, he has good friends, and he doesn’t lack for male company. Which, of course, is when Max has to come bursting back into his life.
Felix Jackson will always be the one who got away to Max. He’s spent two years regretting his actions and hoping for a second chance. When an accident lands him in Felix’s less than tender care, Max is determined to grab this opportunity. The only problem is that Felix is equally determined that he doesn’t.
From bestselling author, Lily Morton comes a story of missed opportunities, second chances, and two very stubborn men.
This is the third book in the Close Proximity series, but it can be read as a standalone.
My review:
"Let's pick our own pedigree names," I say impulsively, turning to him. I think hard while swigging my wine. "I know. I shall be Mrs Flimflam Sloppy Blowjob, and you can be Euripides Nice Hair Rimming the Third."
I LOVED this book so much. It was romantic, sweet, funny and full with snark. The perfect combination and not a surprise from Lily Morton. Loved the characters, their story and background too, and my favorite thing is still that you can meet Lily's other characters in various amount in the books. If you're reading the books in order, there aren't any surprises from other characters and their connections, but since I'm reading them not in order... but yeah, I'm still enjoying it really much. Love meeting other characters then can't wait to read their story later. But back to Felix. As I said I just L-O-V-E-D this book from page one to the last. I couldn't find one thing to dislike even if I wanted to, it was just perfect in every way.
Felix and Max's first meet was hilarious and loved how they relationship evolved. Felix was super cute and strong character, he is a person you want to be friends with and only wish him the best in life. I wanted the same for Felix, just the best - and the best in this case was Max. Aww. These two! And how blind they were to their feelings - thanks to Max and Ivo's history. I loved that Ivo and Henry's wedding took place in this book, and it was really good to see Max and Ivo together and finally see that Max figuring out everything in his past and how to live in the future - especially with who! My favorite part was when Max and Felix met with Ivo and Henry in Venice. I really wanted Felix to be okay with Ivo, so I really loved that scene.
The romace and erotica was really, really good. Super hot and sweet, Felix and Max together just scorching hot. Their relationship was really good to read about, from one night stand to friends with benefits, and to lovers♥
And the cover, just OMG - perfect Felix! Loved this book so much. Highly recommend it!
