Everything to lose.

Tyler’s worked hard to kick the dust of the Chicago suburbs off his heels and move on with his life as Hollywood’s newest up-and-comer, burying his demons and hiding his scars from the world. Just as everything seems to be going his way, a scandal from his past threatens everything he’s worked for. Now he’s stuck back home, where his family of lawyers can maybe help sink the scandal and find out who’s behind it.

Afraid to love.

Josh doesn’t know what to think when his ex’s little brother falls into his arms, other than that Tyler is trouble with a capital T. But when Tyler’s publicist suggests that an adoring fake boyfriend might be just the ticket to saving Tyler’s acting career, Josh doesn’t mind playing along. It’s not like he has anything else going on, and faking a relationship with someone you’ve known your entire life can’t possibly be that difficult.

A second chance for two damaged hearts.

Now they’re stuck together for the foreseeable future, and neither can deny their mounting attraction. Why should they? They’re supposed to be in love, at least out in public. But in private, when no one is watching, Tyler and Josh grow closer in a way that has nothing to do with their agreed upon arrangement. What do they do when make-believe becomes real, and how can two men with such different lives have a shared future?

My review:

I am not the person who complains when a book is long, but in this case i have to. I spend 2 and a half day to read this and at the end i was a bit frustrated about it. Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed it and it was good, but way too long its necessary.

I loved Josh and Tyler's story, it was emotional, cute, romantic, serious and slow burn.

"Tyler couldn't remember a time in his life before Josh."

It was good to read bout Tyler's past although it was painful, but Josh handled it well. The Ryan-Josh-Tyler "threesome" was a bit funny, but i wanted Tyler to be happy, and Ryan to fuck the hell off.

"Even after all these years, some part of him refused to give up on his teenaged dream of living happily ever after..."

Josh's past was painful too, but in another way then Tyler's. Both was bad enough, but they handled it together well.

"Better to have nothing and not realize what you're missing than to get part of what you want but never, ever enough because you, yourself, are not enough."

Both character were strong in different ways and i loved them both. The romance between them was so slow i could have cried!

"In that moment, he wanted Tyler so much it was hard to breathe."

The story was good, but as i said way too long.
The drama at the end was expected, but it was short... lol, the book was long but the whole drama short?! Anyway... after everything the epilogue was THE BEST! They were the cutest♥

"If home had a taste, it would've been Josh's mouth."

Long story short, it wasn't my first LVD book and i am happy about it, because after this i want something light and short. I am curious about the second book, Daddy Issues, but i hope it isn't about Ryan ..... i really hope... :D and no, i will not read the blurb i want a surprise LOL, but please dont be Ryan!

The book is a slow burn m/m romance, it contains age gap (9years), a bit second chance, you can find a HOT doctor and a hotter and younger actor who has a cat, named Oliver, and a leaked video which contains a teenage threesome.
Prepare yourself, its a long book... long and frustrating.
