Blurb:

Once upon a time a brave knight rescued a young man. Unfortunately, he then spent the next few years bossing the young man around and treating him like a child.

Milo has been burying himself at Chi an Mor, hiding from the wreckage of his once promising career and running from a bad relationship that destroyed what little confidence he had. Niall, his big brother’s best friend, has been there for him that entire time. An arrogant and funny man, Niall couldn’t be any more different from the shy and occasionally stuttering Milo, which has never stopped Milo from crushing wildly on the man who saved him.

However, just as Milo makes the decision to move on from his hopeless crush, he and Niall are thrown into close contact, and for the first time ever Niall seems to be returning his interest. But it can never work. How can it when Milo always needs rescuing?

From the bestselling author of the Mixed Messages series comes a story about a man who needs to write his own happily ever after.

This is the second book in the Finding Home series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Content warning: There are descriptions of domestic abuse in this book.

My review:

"Real love goes both ways. It gives back what you give to it tenfold. I migh rescue you sometimes, but I know that when I need you you'll rescue me back. I love you, so that means I want the absolute best for you, but I'd also hope that you'd want the same for me."
When Lily Morton and Joel Leslie comes together it always more then awesome! I wanted to read this series so much, so when I got the chance for the audiobook for Milo, I immediately said yes. And now, that I listened to it, I say thousand more yeses.

There should be classes where Joel Leslie teaches other narrators how to do it this amazing. I mean he is the best narrator I ever listened to - always perfect voices for the stoies and he plays every little detail so well.

I don't know how Lily does it, but every character she writes can be easily fallen in love with.
I fallen in love with Milo and Niall so easily, and hearing them by Joel Leslie was amazing. The voices were just perfect. I love how the narrator gives life to these adorable characters, they're like real persons. The story is so real and with the audio you can so easily picture them in the real life, like you can really meet them on the street and hug them and tell them you love them.

"I will love you right down to my bones until the day we die. We'll argue and fall out and I'm sure at times we really won't like each other, but I will be your fucking cheerleader for the rest of your life because you're epic and I want the whole world to know that shit."

Milo and Niall's relationship was so good. They were meant to be, and I really liked the way their relationship changed and how they fallen for each other. The romance was really good, but it's not a surprise from Lily Morton, just as the erotica! So hot scenes! And with Joel's voice...holyhelllll.
Milo and Niall's first were so so good, I have no words.

I can't wait to read/listen to the other books in the series too. I'm so excited about Gideon, I really really want to know his HEA. I fallen for him too in this book. He was a great brother after all and a great friend too.

"...home is ryding by the side of me."
Highly recommend this!
