My review:

★★★⍣☆ (3.5)

I have twisted feelings. I finished this book more then a week ago, but still can't get my head around it. Mostly I'm still dissapointed, but I had time to overthink it and see it through from other view.

As I said earlier in my reviews of this series, my biggest dissapointment is that it isn't dark enough and both Yugo and Kuon are weak. And I hate weak characters the most.

If I see this book/series as a romance, then it's cute and lovely. But those are not the words I want to use if I talk about a dirty and dark book.

The whole romance between Yugo and Kuon are really cute. I loved how they loved each other, while totally blind to their feelings. And I said blind - I LOVED this turns of events. It was the best of this whole series. And the way how Yugo changed. But don't get me started on the darkness, because this shit was so white and the extract opposite of dark!

So while I loved the romantic scenes and the whole settings of Yugo's change, this isn't what I want from a dark book with Stockholm Syndrome.

If you want a cute romance - and forget you ever read about anything darkness about this book - then you should read this series. This book was the most romantic ever, they were cute.
But if you want darkness, forget this book ever existed and search for something else, because you won't getting darkness from this series.
Side note - if you want light darkness, some fluffy light grey, then go on. But don't expect full on brutality, this isn't that kind of dark.

I gave 3,5 star, because if it's romance then 5 star easily, but it's main setting is dark so 3,5.

Thank you for the ARC copy, this was my honest review.
