Twenty-eight-year-old Oryn Patterson isn’t like other people. Being an extremely shy, social introvert is only part of the problem. Oryn has dissociative identity disorder. He may look like a normal man on the outside, but spend five minutes with him, and his daily struggles begin to show.
Oryn shares his life and headspace with five distinctively different alters. Reed, a protective, very straight jock. Cohen, a flamboyantly gay nineteen-year-old who is a social butterfly. Cove, a self-destructive terror, whose past haunts him. Theo, an asexual man of little emotion, whose focus is on maintaining order. And Rain, a five-year-old child whose only concern is Batman.
Vaughn Sinclair is stuck in a rut. When his job doesn’t offer the same thrill it once did, he decides it’s time to mix-up his stagnant, boring routine. Little does he know, the man he meets during an impromptu decision to return to college is anything but ordinary.
Vaughn’s heart defies logic, and he finds himself falling in love with this strange new man. But how can you love someone who isn’t always themself? It may not be easy, but Vaughn is determined to try.
My review:
Love Me Whole is my ALL TIME FAVORITE book. I have it in ebook, i have a signed paperback, and now i have it on audible too. This book is the most perfect ever, the best of the best!
The narrator did an amazing job! The audiobook was insanly perfect! All the different voices, everything was so good! And the sound effects! Just perfect!
The story was so intense and an emotional roller-coaster. It was touching, romantic, heart whelming.
It was painful and beautiful at the same time. I fell in love with all the alters of Oryn.
I loved how brave, confident, outright and full with energy Cohen was.
I loved how strong, care taking and hetero Reed was, and he did everything for Oryn.
I loved Theo's lifestyle and his attitude to life, his brain and how good he cooked.
I loved Rain's children mouth, his adoration for Batman and how he saw the world.
I loved how strong and tough Cove was, and no matter how much it hurt and how much he craved death, he stayed put.
I loved Oryn's awarness, vitality, how unsure he was. I loved how strong and persistent he was and he pushed his own borders all the time.
And finally, I loved how strong Vaughn's mental was, how strong his love for Oryn was, and he stayed no matter how hopelessness the moment was.
This book is a miracle, i loved every page of it and HIGHLY recommend it!
