Take one betrothal gone awry…

Prince Angelo is destined to marry Prince Yuri. Never mind that Angelo isn’t gay and didn’t choose to be saddled with a moony-eyed princeling who is determined to ruin Angelo’s life. Then one day Yuri goes too far and Angelo has to take matters into his own hands.

Add one doomed arranged marriage…

Prince Yuri is destined forever to pine after Prince Angelo. Arranged marriages are archaic and awful enough without being stuck for life with someone you want who will never, ever in a million years want you back. Still, for someone who claims to want nothing to do with Yuri, Angelo is surprisingly possessive.

And you just might get one unexpected romance.

Two men, thrown together by fate and scheming parents, shouldn’t have a prayer of finding a happy ever after. But fate can be fickle, and love can exist where you never thought it could.

Royally Screwed is a 75,000-word M/M novel featuring royalty, a poorly-thought-out betrothal, one prince in need of a firm hand, a second prince who isn’t as straight as he always thought, drunken texting, bickering, practice kissing, odious British nobility, and falling in love despite all the reasons why you shouldn’t.

My review:

My relationship with Lynn Van Dorn's book is funny - somehow all her books for me are 4 star reads, except her collab with Piper Scott, because those books are more then perfect.
So I started reading this book with a little skepticism - this book will be the break through or this will be 4 star again?
Spoiler...it was 4 star again.

Yuri and Angel's story was unique, the characters were lovely, their relationship was cute, but I missed something.

Loved the early chapters when they were younger, we could see the love/hate/love through the years and it was really important for the storyline. Yuri was a cutie, and the spankings was sooooo amazing. I loved when he called Angelo Angel, and when they were together nothing else mattered.

The whole background story with the betrothal, and why they were supposed to be together, was a bit messy and this was the only thing I didn't enjoyed as much as the last of the story. I missed more behind the scenes of a prince life, where you can really see and believe that they are princes.

The romance and the erotica was really good. Angelo's awakening to his emotions and his sexuality was well written, and I loved when they were really together. Yuri was a cutie, but sometimes I got headaches of his tears, he cried his way through the whole book. There was't a chapter when Yuri didn't cried for something. I loved that he cried...until when it was just really too much. And the drama with Yuri's ex... *sad sigh*

The spankings was really, really good! And the love between them was amazing too. Loved the ending too. So yeah, I enjoyed this book, but only 4 star for me.
